Two starting point options. Depart Newport Stn (Hall St) at 10.00 and cycle to Footscray Stn (Bunbury St at 10.35). Ride alongside the Maribyrnong River, crossing at the Afton St pedestrian bridge. Climb “the switchback” to join the Steele Crk Trail. Continue to Valley Lake and “the Watcher” statue. Return along the same route to enjoy lunch at the Milking Station, adjacent to Footscray Station (at 12.45). Return to Newport Stn at 14.30 approx.
