From Newport Stn (Halls St exit) at 10.00 we cycle to the Punt (10.15). The Punt charge is $5 each way, card preferred. We cycle through Westgate Park to reach Port Melbourne and then follow the light rail trail to Southbank and on to to South Yarra. Leaving the bikes at the Kanteen café we take the punt to Herring Island. We will be walking the sculpture trail along gravel paths and will visit the Summer Arts Festival (Lunch at the Kanteen). We return via Flinders St Stn (offering a shorter ride option) and on to the Punt along the river’s north bank and Lorimer Street. On disembarking we cycle back to Newport Stn.
