We meet at 10 near the Holden sign which is adjacent to the new Hoppers Crossing Railway Station. You cannot miss it! We take Hoppers Lane and the Federation Trl to Werribee Mansion, taking in the Rose Garden (in full bloom) and coffee. We return via the Werribee River to Watton St for lunch. Continuing along the River we leave to pick up the Derrimut Rd and the Tarneit and Skeleton Creek trails to join the Federation trail back to Hoppers Crossing.
There is a short, steep section of loose shale where it may be preferable to walk.
Graded: EASY. Distance: 36 kms
Note: This route passes a nasty magpie swooper. The season should be over but this will be checked on the recce. If necessary, the ride will avoid the area.
