Hobsons Bay City Council has completed major works at both ends of Altona Beach to improve safety along the Coastal Trail.
On the west end of the beach, at Apex Park, there has been extensive fencing erected to prevent dogs from wandering onto the Trail. The mesh fencing gives owners a safe off lead area for their dogs and gives riders a safer dog free alternative on the Trail. This win, win is a massive improvement.
