Sunday 10 November 9 a.m – 1 p.m., 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Annually there is a nationwide count to calculate the trails usage by various categories (cyclists, walkers, etc). Our job in the Hobsons Bay and Wyndham City Council areas is to register these categories while watching the world go by – it isn’t a tiresome task.
In recompense the BUG will receive a $140 donation, providing a major contribution to the annual insurance cost. Count time commitment is four hours, but this may be shared. Volunteers also receive a free Bicycle Network sunhat.
In the last week of October a list of count locations will be published. As a regular participant, the BUG will get preferential early warning in order for members to book locations close to home. Members will be advised accordingly.
