Sunday 22 January – Altona to Sanctuary Lakes
Our first ride of the new year will be an easy flat ride for all those who have been eating too much and have not been on their bike for a while. We will meet at the Altona pier to leave at 9.15 am. A train leaves Werribee at 8.46 am and Laverton at 8.56 am to arrive in time for the start. We will follow the path west along the BayWest Trail to the bridge over Skelton Creek and cross over. Once over the bridge we will follow the road through Sanctuary Lakes to the café on the lake for coffee and a bite to eat. Once re-fuelled, we will return back to Altona. This will be a reasonably short but pleasant ride at approximately 25 kms
